Mirror Image: Doppelganger
By Jean-Bertho Almonord
Here lies a scruffy young man scraping along to get by; it could be said that he is homeless.
His face has lost its beauty; too skinny to be called handsome.
He is sitting at a bench wearing some second hand clothing, eating a poor man's sandwich, which was given to him by the shelter.
The scenery goes on. There are students rushing along to get to school from recess.
The trees bustle and their leaves do shake with the tossing to and fro of the wind.
Cars are passing by without a care.
At night, he passes by the club lane: on his way.
Inside one of the club sat a young man whose visage, without a lie, resembled well our hero.
It was a more handsome face, a more fit vessel, a more well-mannered young man: could possibly pass for a twin.
The waitress came to his table and said, "do you have a twin? either I have seen an impostor, a twin, a poorer you, or I do not know.”
